VAN 9001

Error code appearing due to missing TPM 2.0 / Secure Boot or as a result of a HWID ban. Seen in Valorant and FiveM.

Cause

Two possible causes: (1) TPM 2.0 or Secure Boot is disabled on your PC, (2) HWID ban — your hardware IDs are on the ban list.

Fix Steps

  1. 1

First check BIOS: is TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled? If disabled, VAN 9001 may appear due to system requirements.

  2. 2

If TPM and Secure Boot are on, the issue is a HWID ban. For EAC games like Fortnite, HWID Core resolves this.

  3. 3

For FiveM VAN 9001: HWID Core rotates all hardware IDs checked by Cfx.re.

  4. 4

For Valorant VAN 9001 (HWID ban): Valorant is not supported — standard spoofers don't work with Vanguard.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does VAN 9001 mean?

Two possible causes: if TPM 2.0/Secure Boot is disabled it's a system requirement error; if you have a HWID ban it's a hardware ban error. Both produce the same code.

How to fix VAN 9001?

If TPM/Secure Boot is off, enable it in BIOS. If it's a HWID ban: use HWID Core for FiveM; for Valorant, spoofers don't work.

Does HWID Core fix FiveM VAN 9001?

Yes. FiveM's Cfx.re enforces HWID bans. HWID Core rotates disk, MAC, SMBIOS, GPU IDs at kernel level to bypass the ban.

Does HWID Core fix Valorant VAN 9001?

No. Valorant uses Vanguard, a boot-level kernel driver. Standard HWID spoofers are ineffective. HWID Core does not support Valorant.

Have an EAC/BattlEye HWID Ban?

HWID Core performs kernel-level hardware identity rotation for games using EAC and BattlEye.
