What exactly does HWID Core change?

Disk serial numbers, MAC address, motherboard/BIOS info, GPU identity, monitor serial number, and disk volume IDs — all changed at the kernel level. Whatever anti-cheat asks, it receives fake data.

Do I need to disable Secure Boot?

No. HWID Core works with Secure Boot enabled. If you get a STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH error, you can disable it from BIOS, but this is rare.

Does it still work after a restart?

Re-spoofing is required on every system boot. Because hardware values reset upon restart, you must run HWID Core again each time you boot your computer.

What does HWID lock mean?

Each license locks to one PC on first activation. If you change your PC, you can request an HWID reset from the Dashboard. 30-day plans include 1 free reset.

Can I use the same license on multiple PCs?

No. 1 license = 1 PC. You need a separate license for each machine.

Can I run it while the game is open?

No. Activate HWID Core first, then open the game. Making changes while the game is open can cause detection or crashes.

Can I restore my original hardware IDs?

Yes. HWID Core automatically restores your original hardware values when the driver closes or the system restarts. You can also manually restore at any time by selecting [2] Restore Original Hardware ID from the menu.

Does HWID Core lift a VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) ban?

Yes. HWID Core rotates disk serial numbers, MAC address, SMBIOS, motherboard/BIOS info, GPU identity and monitor serial at the kernel level — since VAC applies hardware bans based on those values, after rotation you no longer appear as the banned machine. Note: This lifts the HWID ban only; it does not lift the account-level ban (Steam Community ban).

Does it bypass a FACEIT AC HWID ban?

FACEIT Anti-Cheat loads a kernel driver at system boot time. Because HWID Core is a run-and-close spoofer, it is not recommended against FACEIT AC. HWID Core is a full fit for launch-time kernel anti-cheats (EAC, BattlEye, VAC, Ricochet).

Can EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat) detect HWID Core?

No. The HWID Core loader runs entirely in memory — it does not write to disk or the registry. EAC loads only when you launch the game, and by then HWID Core has already exited. EAC only sees the rotated hardware identifiers and never reaches the original banned values.

Is it detected by BattlEye?

No. HWID Core follows a close-and-play model: run the spoofer, close it, then launch the game. BattlEye runtime scanning only starts with the game — HWID Core is already unloaded and leaves no trace. Tested on Rust, Arma 3, PUBG, Escape From Tarkov and other BE-protected titles.

Does it work on Windows 11 24H2?

Yes. HWID Core is actively tested on every current Windows 11 release (23H2, 24H2 included). If a new Windows update breaks compatibility, a patch is shipped within 24 hours and existing customers receive the new loader automatically.

What is the difference between a kernel-level and a user-mode spoofer?

User-mode spoofers work through the Windows API, which modern anti-cheats also observe — they are trivially detectable. A kernel-level spoofer (Ring 0) runs inside the Windows kernel itself, changing identifiers at a depth anti-cheats cannot reach. HWID Core uses a kernel driver and self-cleans without a trace.
